All messages originating from our server are digitally signed. We've been targetted by several back-scatter attacks, where bulk messages were sent out with invalid (mostly) addresses on our server. The idiots doing it are hoping that if your mail server is smart enough to reject the message (which it should be), that it'll be configured to send us a bounce. We've configured things to not accept bounces.

It's pretty easy to identify that the messages aren't coming from us, and we suggest forwarding any suspicious message to your ISP's abuse address. Usually, the mailbox is named abuse, and you can just take your e-mail address and replace the part on the left of the @ with abuse.
