Episode Ideas
.

Basic Philosophy

Each "Series" should be broken into "Episodes." Each "Episode" is divided into a "Segment." A Segment takes between 5 and 15 minutes to complete (think about the part of a show between the opening credits and the middle commercial break -- thats what we're going for here). Segments are graded (S, A, B, C, F) based on performance. There are between three and six segments in an Episode.

Some episodes are "stand alone." Those are episodes not tied into any plot line, for example a holiday event or an expansion launch event might use a stand alone episode. Other episodes are tied together into a series. A series consists of three or more episodes, tied together in some way. For example, a series might be used to obtain a rare or desirable skill or item, or a series might be used to obtain access to special titles or other "uber" status.

The entire series is also ranked (S, A, B, C or F) based on performance. The idea is to, rather than camp some rare item by sitting in front of a mobs spawn point hoping that it randomly drops something, to have a performance based reward. The reward will be selectable from several items.

(from Eiji) a system like this seems very workable.. not to mention if we also have the quest panel list a series by faction, then it would be very easy to keep track of what missions you're on... and that would be a big improvement over the EQ2 quest panel. On the idea of "stand-alone" missions... it might be something like "raid this base and destroy so many of the guards", or "steal this much of XYZ armor".

Hooks and such

I am currently working on "fleshing out" some of the background information concerning the White and Grey Factions... specifically, the Digital Vanguard and the Mercenaries Guild.. I plan to come up with some "hooks" for mission Series.. but I will keep that off the wiki for the time being..

Epic for Miki

This one would be for some high-end item (I'm thinking a powerplant or energy converter, given that Miki's suit is very fast and agile, it would need a ton of power to make it move like that)

however, the player wouldnt get the engine in one quest..this should be a series of quests to get the item at the end. (we could also make it a weapon or some really good tracking gear..depending on how the player specializes in skill sets).

Glitch Missions

(for white faction megaclans)

Seems a number of game creatures have been "corrupted" by unknown forces (Demons it turns out)

Note

Brethren and Betrayer

(Rebel Daemons?, or white faction)

Someone is leaking information about high-powered items (tracking gear or weaponry), and you have been tapped to check it out.

Battle Training

as the name implies, this is a set of tasks to introduce the combat system in a number of missions utilizing various skill sets.
